Distro Update

Welcoming...
2013 Eberhardt/Justseeds Organizer (Large Size Planner) ($10)- A large size version of this perennial bestseller. A collaboration between the Justseeds Artists' Cooperative and our go-to printer extraordinaire, Eberhardt Press.
2013 Eberhardt/Justseeds Organizer (Pocket Size Planner) ($7.50)- the handy pocket size, like ones from previous years. Beautiful art all over the inside of both sizes, with a clean and easy layout.
2013 The Blanketworld Wall Calendar (Calendar) ($15)- an infinitely fun wall calendar. Full of Serra Sewitch-Posey's hand-painted comic characters, with each month set in Oregon scenes.
The Caring Babies- Gold Friends (7") ($5)- Gloriously off-kilter synth pop songs. Four songs that make you feel like a wizard is manipulating a cassette tape in the 1980's.
Foxdye- Infinite Mystery Forever (12" EP) ($11)- Five songs that blend the breakcore side of Foxdye and the ambient side of Foxdye into intricately-composed IDM anthems.
Hi! I Love You! Thanks for Moving Here!: A Guide to Oakland and Berkeley (Zine) ($1)- A tiny guide for those moving to, or visiting, the East Bay.
J.O.C.K.- No Assumptions (Cassette Tape) ($5)- Members of Meconium, RVIVR, and many other awesome bands. In-your-face queer punk.
Margy Pepper- Golden Webs (12" LP) ($11)- The new album from long-running Olympia garage pop band. Songs that are hard-hitting while still being infectiously catchy, inspirational without being soft.
Nuts! #10 (Newsprint Zine) ($3)- Another beautiful newsprint poster issue of Nuts. A Grass Widow poster, and much more.
Peaches & Bats (Literary Journal/Zine) ($5)- An extra special issue (before it goes on hiatus for a while) of the literary journal, Peaches & Bats.
Rap Class- Greatest Hits (Cassette Tape) ($6)- Recontextualized, soul-infused cut-ups that are addicting and smile-inducing. This is the kind of tape you let flip over and over.
Sans Titre et Sans Reproche, Issue 1 (Photography Zine) ($10)- A French photography zine of the interesting and the weird. Perfect for fans of Hamburger Eyes.
Shotgun Seamstress Zine Collection (Book) ($18)- The collected works of a truly great zine, made even greater by this beautiful book from Mend My Dress Press.
Turntable Operator #3 (Zine) ($4)- This is the issue where Turntable Operator really comes into its own. My favorite part of this is its interview with Mike Dixon of Olympia's own specialty vinyl label People In a Position to Know Records! It's also the most personal thing that I've ever read from DJ Frederick. From getting through his recent Bell's Palsy condition to how he really feels about cats.

News Worth Noting...
*We'll be selling our wares in Seattle on December 8th for the annual Seattle DIY Craft Fair, put on by Hollow Earth Radio and hosted by the Vera Project.
*We'll also be tabling at the Northern Rummage Sale Benefit on December 15th at The Northern/Olympia All Ages Project.
*L.A. friends! On a whim, we registered for the 2013 L.A. Zine Fest! So, see you in February? Now we just have to figure out how to get down there.
*In other L.A. news: the fine folks at L.A.'s Skylight Books have been carrying a number of MVPD zine and book titles. They are great and Jenn does the best book cover drawings in the world.
*In very bad news: our Northwest activist communities have been getting torn apart by FBI and Joint Terrorism Task Force raids and folks getting imprisoned for refusing to testify in a Grand Jury Trial. It is ridiculous and awful. There's a benefit compilation for NW Grand Jury Resisters available on Bandcamp, along with many other ways to support these folks.
*Seattle industrial musician, and our good friends, Endless Sunder recently made an awesome and horrific video for their song "Atonement".
*Our friends over at K Records have started an amazing free personalized mixing advice service.
*Our dear Patti Miller was featured on Marinate.
*Jordan O' Jordan was featured on an episode of Clyde Peterson (Yr Heart Breaks)'s Boating With Clyde show.
*Upside Drown's Mood Music was well-reviewed on Cassette Tape Gods.
*Upside Drown was also interviewed and did an acoustic performance on Croatia’s Poplista radio show.
*Blindfolder was written up on Magnet Magazine.
*Every in print issue of Basic Paper Airplane was reviewed on Ravenswing Zines.
*Rap Class was nicely written-up in the Willamette Weekly.
*Growing Things: A Guide for Beginning Gardeners was reviewed on Billy Da Bunny's video review show.
*Olympia's Naomi Punk has recently signed to Brooklyn's Captured Tracks.
*In the first of two Olympia + TV theme song news: You Are Plural's music is being used for the TV show The Outs.
*And in very wacky news: Ashley Ericksson (of Olympia band, Lake)'s "Island Song" was used as the theme song for Cartoon Network's smash hit Adventure Time, evidently causing a wave of You Tube covers by children.

Until next time,
JoshuaJames/Chask'e/MVPD
